Sarah on February 14, 2013 0 Comments I’m not sure when it was decided that chocolate and Valentine’s day would go hand in hand, but that was one well-negotiated contract. Personally, when I think Valentine’s Day, I think only of three beautiful words: Chocolate. Covered. Strawberries. That is the easy part. They are everywhere. I can’t get away from them. I’ve bought three cartons already this week! Do I have to share? Strawberries and Wine Anyways… Like I said, that is the easy part. The hard part is deciding what libation to serve with my mountain of chocolate covered strawberries. You can’t wash down that amazing taste with just anything. You need champagne. I need champagne. I have decided that now that I’m out of college, I need to stray away from my beloved $5.00 bottle of plastic-corked André and broaden my bubbly horizons. What else is there? Well, there is Champagne, Prosecco, Asti, Cava, Spumante, Blanc de Blanc, Blanc de Noir, Sparkling Wine, Rosé, Cuvée de Prestige and I’m not even sure that covers it. More than that, there are classifications and refinements such as Brut, Extra Brut, Demi-sec, Vintage, and Non Vintage. This year I intend to go with a Prosecco. A Brut Prosecco. Specifically, I’m going to be having Cavit Lunetta. Who knows, though, as soon as I walk into the store and am overwhelmed with the choices once again, my mind could change. Regardless of which sparkling goodness you choose, you want to be sure to store and serve it at the correct temperature. It will make all the difference. To best store bubbles, you need a wine cooler that can cool down the mid to upper 40’s. All EdgeStar Wine Coolers have this capability, from the Ultra-Slim EdgeStar 12-Inch 18 Bottle Built-In Wine Cooler to the Impressive EdgeStar 166 Bottle Built-In or Free Standing Wine Cooler.
